Blackfield 2

Blackfield is the collaboration between Israeli songwriter & musician Aviv Geffen & British musician &
producer, author & Porcupine Tree mastermind, Steven Wilson. Their second offering ‘II’, originally released in
2007, is a fan favourite alongside their debut serving as a high benchmark for all progressive music released
since & includes the popular songs "My Gift Of Silence", "Miss U" & "Once".
An experimental record of 10 superbly crafted songs of beauty, power & melancholia, ‘Blackfield II’ is an
exceptional production, full of glorious hooks, lush harmony vocals & contemporary guitars. ‘Blackfield II’
comes following a multitude of reissues on the newly founded Transmission as well as the release of Steven
Wilson’s seventh full length solo effort, ‘The Harmony Codex’. After performing at festivals & arenas worldwide
throughout 2022 with Porcupine Tree following the release of their chart-topping comeback album ‘Closure //
Continuation’, which landed at #2 in the Official UK Charts, the band also performed at festivals across Europe
in Spring of 2023. The band also released the deluxe 7-disc Earbook set ‘An Accident Of Stars 2004 – 2017’
earlier this year chronicling their history.
The pair makes for a formidable musical force; Geffen has worked with legendary producers Tony Visconti &
Trevor Horn, has played live with U2 & Placebo & is currently a judge on the Israeli TV show ‘The Voice’. Wilson, after a long tenure as the leader of the hugely influential band Porcupine Tree, has since embarked on a highly successful solo career, achieving 3 UK top 40 albums (the most recent also making the top 3 in Germany & The Netherlands) & multiple Grammy nominations.
This edition of Blackfield's sophomore album will be released on mid-price CD presented in a digipack
packaging complete with an 8-page booklet.
