Made In Japan stands among the most iconic Rock live albums of all time. It was recorded rather spontaneously during three nights in Osaka and Tokyo, respectively, in August 1972. Deep Purple#s so-called Mark II line-up delivered incredible highly energetic performances of landmark songs such as âSmoke On The Waterâ, âHighway Starâ, âChild In Timeâ and âSpace Truckinââ. Seven tracks were originally selected for the double album.
The 5CD+Blu Ray Audio boxset features new stereo, Dolby ATMOS mixes and a 5.1 mix of the original 2LP by acclaimed producer Steven Wilson, all three concerts newly remixed by Richard Digby Smith, and several rare single edits. A lavish 40-page booklet with updated liner notes and a tour poster replica is completing the set.
