HUMAN is an insight into the rich and expansive world of Georgia Lines, showcasing her profound honesty through this collection of sounds.
āThe EP reflects my journey of vulnerability, of learning I am human,ā says Georgia. āIt examines love and loss, the deep pain and joy we can sometimes hold in the same breath, and my journey as an artist to explore all of those feelings and attempt to package some of my findings and honest feelings into these songs.
āEven though the overall vibe of HUMAN musically has many different facets, with elements inspired from both the 80ās and 90ās mixed with big vocals and stacked harmonies, it also has these moments of rawness and simplicity. Lyrically and sonically there is an honesty to these songs.ā
The EPās lead single āFaithā, written by Georgia Lines and Joseph Farris, draws its sonic inspiration from Prince; with its crunchy 80ās synths and layers of catchy lead guitars and vocal hooks. Produced by co-writer Joseph Farris, the track explores a tension often felt in relationships, where stubbornness can often get in the way of necessary change.
āAny relationship requires sacrifice from both sides; a give and take, and a willingness to make changes in order for the relationship to thrive,ā explains Georgia. āWhen youāre exhausted from waiting and desperate for that change to happen, you can often feel hopeless or like you're running out of faithā.
