FOUNDING MEMBER STEVEN WILSON RELEASES 2016’S INTERIM ALBUM ‘4 1/2’
FOR THE FIRST TIME ON TRANSMISSION.

The album opens with the shimmering guitar lines of ‘My Book Of Regrets’ & the upbeat ‘Happiness
III’ followed by the eerie instrumentals of ‘Year Of The Plague’ & ‘Sunday Rain Sets In’. Later, the
record throws back to heavier moments of Steven Wilson & recalling Porcupine Tree on the distortion led ‘Vermillioncore’ before rounding up with the introspective reimagining of ‘Don’t Hate Me’. A track that is a re-interpretation of the Porcupine Tree classic with Ninet Tayeb who featured on 'Hand. Cannot. Erase.' & 2018’s ‘To The Bone’.
Produced & mixed by Steven Wilson, ‘4 ½’ features a stellar group of musicians contributing to the LP which include Adam Holzman (keyboards), Nick Beggs (bass), Guthrie Govan (guitar), Dave Kilminster
(guitar), Marco Minnemann (drums), Chad Wackerman (drums), Craig Blundell (drums) & Theo Travis.
The artwork features photography by long-time collaborator Lasse Hoile & designed by Carl Glover. Porcupine Tree’s most recent album ‘CLOSURE // CONTINUATION’ debuted at #2 in the Official Album Charts & #1 in Netherlands & Switzerland Album Charts.
