Apollo Creed, the undisputed heavyweight champion, "The Master of Disaster," “The King of Sting” made the worst mistake of his life when choosing to give local unknown fighter Rocky Balboa a shot at the title. After taking down all the serious contenders Creed decides to give hometown Balboa a chance at the belt because he thought his ring name “The Italian Stallion” would help bring in the crowds. Although Creed and Balboa eventually become good friends, the brutal battles fought in the ring are the toughest Apollo had ever faced.
