The collection takes a deep dive into four decades of deep-cuts, fan-favourites, and live-staples that have cemented The Blue Aeroplanes as true cult heroes. This new compilation also unearths a trove of previously unreleased material from the archives, including recordings from BBC ‘In Concert’ (‘What It Is’ and ‘Breaking In My Heart’), and a brand-new version of ‘Winter Sun’ captured in 2024 during the band’s legendary annual residency at The Fleece in Bristol. ‘Outsider Art’ features new sleeve notes, rare photographs from the band’s archives, and a 12”x12” lyric sheet.
Remastered by Phil Kinrade and cut at AIR Mastering. Pressed on two 140g black vinyl, accompanied by a bonus 7” featuring a previously unreleased exclusive live recording of ‘Lover & Confidante’, and ‘Tyger Tyger Burning Bright!’ which appears on vinyl for the first time.
